Long Road to Hard Truth (working title) is a documentary based on Judge Robert L. Wilkins’ book, tracing the century-long struggle to establish the National Museum of African American History and Culture. When the museum opened on September 24, 2016, with Presidents Barack Obama, George Bush, Congressman John Lewis, and Judge Wilkins in attendance, it marked the culmination of his decades-long effort to answer why such a museum did not yet exist.
